ASAP Building Inspections Ltd was established in Nelson in 2006. We have a tried and true reputation for being extremely thorough, friendly, and professional. We provide a number of building consultancy services including, but not limited to,reports on Pre-Purchase and Pre-sale inspections, Weathertightness, Safe & Sanitary, Certificate of Acceptance, maintenance, and moisture testing. We can assist owners trying to obtain outstanding Code Compliance Certificates.
Although based in Nelson, we carry out our building inspections and provide consultation services throughout the Top of the South Island. This includes the areas of Nelson, Richmond, Motueka, Golden Bay, Murchison, Marlborough Sounds, Blenheim, and Picton, and has even included inspections and building consultancy as far afield as Christchurch, Kaikoura and Westport.

We provide independent reports with photos in an easy to understand format for our clients but we also know and use the technical jargon needed when providing information to, or dealing with councils on our clients’ behalf.
We use a range of specialty tools including a Thermal Camera and Moisture meters. This includes non-invasive meters meaning we do not damage or probe holes in surfaces of the dwelling using our invasive meters without prior approval from the owners.
We don’t hire staff, we carry out our inspections and consultations ourselves. This protects our reputation and ensures you have a consultant with the expertise and qualifications required to provide a report that will not be deemed as inadequate by your insurance company, financier or solicitor.
We carry Professional Indemnity and Public Liability Insurance.
